Award winning Actress, Anniwaa Buachie was born Anningwaa Boakye to Ghanaian parents, the youngest child out of four. Growing up in a creative household, Anniwaa was constantly exposed to a variety of cultures and art forms.
As a child, Anniwaa was scouted by ballet dancer Rhian Robins, who believed Anniwaa’s dance skills, were of an exceptionally high standard and encouraged Anniwaa’s parents to enroll her in to the Royal Academy of Dance. For 16 years Ballet and Contemporary dance was Anniwaa’s obsession, although a dancer of a high calibre she remained focused and adamant on becoming an actress.
Anniwaa attended East 15 Acting School where she gained a degree in Acting. In her graduating year she decided to change the spelling of her name; Anningwaa Boakye and use a phonetic spelling: Anniwaa Buachie, to ensure that people respect and remember the correct African pronunciation of her name.
Shortly after graduating from East 15, Anniwaa was awarded The Alan Bates Outstanding Newcomer award. She is also founder and Artistic Director of Golden Delilah; an innovative Theatre company which celebrates new writing promoting strong female roles.
John Terence is an award winning actor. John trained for three years at Drama Centre Of London under the tuition of Yat, Christopher Fettes and Reuvin Adiev. He has acted on both film, TV and theatre. Classical and contemporary.
He played Robbie in Murphy’s Law for the BBC with James Nesbit. His recent film Corinthian, he acted in has won 2 awards for best film and has been accepted into 15 film festivals in Europe and the US. He has toured Macbeth internationally, worked at the Wimbledon Theatre in Romeo and Juliet, played Skeet a prisoner in Walking an award winning play chosen for its London showcase at The Arts Festival 2014. He is also a member of SAG.
Stefan Bakic is an Actor and Model. Stefan’s first film was when he was only 4 years old. He was a lead role in a short film called Cinnamon in 2013. It followed by a feature film As Bad As Me in 2014.
Sophie Piedallu is qualified in Film Production Technology with a BSc from Staffordshire University and a French degree in cinematography. She is experienced with 16mm, digital and 3D film making (made her own 3D beam splitter rig). She has worked for major TV channels: Sky, CBBC, BBC ONE, France 3, Arte, Colours and Zee TV. She has also worked for Burberry doing Fashion Videos.
In 2012, she created an award winning TV channel, Staffs TV, that was rated 7th best broadcaster in the UK after only 8 months of existence. Staffs TV won the Tim Marshall Award for Special recognition and 2nd place for best live, with it’s flagship show What’s Next at the National Student Television awards, beating 40 other stations. This live weekly TV show, was produced and directed by Sophie Piedallu. Overall, Sophie was responsible for over 50 programmes, including NaSTAvision, a 3 hour national music TV show.
Sophie Piedallu received her first awards at the festival illumines with The People’s Choice Award and The Grand Prize of The Jury in 2009 for a 3D short. In 2013, The Hub a short film also shot in 3D, was awarded 2nd place by industry professionals at GradEx.
